The release of LrSuperKeys 6.0 brings several key improvements to enhance the Lightroom Classic workflow. The update introduces an HSL Color Wheel heads-up display, offering a more intuitive way to adjust colors. Users can now choose between three distinct HUD styles—Standard, Minimalist, and Modern—to suit their preferences and streamline their editing environment. Additionally, the “Auto” level function from the Crop tool can now be assigned to an Action Key, providing faster access to this essential adjustment. Along with these exciting new features, this release includes several fixes and enhancements to improve overall performance and usability.

Update Lightroom Rate

This setting controls how frequently LrSuperKeys sends updates to Lightroom Classic when making adjustments using a Speed Key and click-and-drag.

Sending too many updates per second—especially on slower machines or Windows systems—can overwhelm Lightroom Classic, causing noticeable lag or reduced responsiveness. By adjusting this setting, you can balance smooth control with optimal performance.

When to Adjust This Setting

• If Lightroom feels laggy or slow during slider adjustments
• If you’re using an older or low-performance system
• If you’re on Windows and noticing stuttering during rapid adjustments

Tip: Start with 30. If you notice lag, reduce the rate by 5–10 and test again.

After four incredible years of developing LrSuperKeys and providing free upgrades to all users, I’m announcing an important update regarding future releases.

Version 5.8 will be the final free upgrade available to all users.

Beginning with version 6.0, users who purchased their license before April 15, 2024, will be invited to extend their support for LrSuperKeys to continue receiving updates. A support extension of $35 provides one year of updates, along with lifetime access to all versions released up to the end of the support period.

Users who purchased a license on or after April 15, 2024, will automatically have access to version 6.0 and will receive one year of updates from their purchase date.

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support over the years. Enhancements

• Multi-display support for the Heads Up Display. An option to automatically position the HUD to the active screen.
  By default, this is enabled.
• Multi-display support for HSL screen zones
• Swap Change Values now apply to both Hotkeys and Speed Keys
• Keep the List of Develop & Masking Presets in sync with Lightroom when creating/editing Action Keys or when adding masking presets to your Speed Menu
• When creating or editing an Action Key that is already in use, it now displays the description of the already assigned action

Bug Fixes

• When using Click & Drag with Speed Keys, it would at times zoom in when clicking and dragging the mouse
• List of Develop Presets would be incomplete in rare cases

MacOS Specific

• Stability: LrSK would often crash if a superkey was pressed before LrSK was fully started

Windows Specific

• Quicker startup
• Alt menu item keys have been added to the Plug-in Extras Lightroom menu items Start/Stop LrSK
